Arizona Long Term Care Agencies

Call for Public Donations of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Hool'áágóó Home Care| Emergency Line: 928-206-7265

Health care workers in long term care facilities are calling for the public to donate personal protective equipment, known as PPE. Nursing homes assisted living communities and all other types of long-term care agencies are in desperate need of PPE like N95 face masks, surgical masks, surgical gowns, medical face shields and nitrile exam gloves. We have some ordered but supplies are back-logged and we are waiting. Our projected deliveries are mid-April or May. We are reaching out to ask for help if some are readily available.

WHY?

PPE supplies are running dangerously low and there are long back orders. Health workers in long term care need this gear to stay safe on the job and to keep the elder/client safe. Vendors are unable to fill orders and most state stockpiles are depleted and the Federal stockpile can’t meet the need either. Facilities are taking advantage of every opportunity to safely conserve PPE by doing things like re-using masks until they are broken or dirty. Even with these measures, facilities need more supplies as soon as possible. Some are turning to making their own.

WHAT DO WE NEED?

  • We are asking the public to donate any of the following supplies:

    • Masks preferable N95 masks

    • Clorox disinfectant

    • Clorox wipes

    • Exam gloves

    • Surgical disposable gowns

    • Medical face shields

    • 90% plus alcohol

    • Alcohol-based hand sanitizer

Full boxes of supplies are preferable, but partial boxes or individual donations are acceptable.

OUR EFFORTS

MARCH 23rd, 2020

Hool'áágóó Home Care is teaming up as volunteers with the Navajo & Hopi Families Covid19 Relief Fund. The Gofundme fundraiser initiated by Ethel Branch has accumulated over 130k in donations thanks to many individuals generosity & support.

Thank you to our Hool'áágóó Volunteers Elisa Brown, Roy Bitter, Marcus Bitter, Jay Brown, Drea Dawn and Lynnette Adams who traveled to Phoenix today. We had the opportunity to collaborate with Vanessa Tulley of AheHee ShiDiné’e Home Care and her team of volunteers making our efforts efficient and delightful. We each had a non-stop day of traveling and shopping...with our efforts to get much needed items for Elders, grandparents raising grandchildren, single-parent families being detrimentally impacted by the Covid19 Pandemic. Online Form requests for Aid is on the Navajo & Hopi Families Covid19 Relief Fund Group Page

MARCH 28th, 2020

Every second of this journey has brought us to this point...this photo is priceless...😍

Client & Caregiver will be staying home...safe and secure. But, most importantly avoiding the “first of the month” chaos! Staying Home...helping to curve the pandemic of Covid19 was our mission. To minimize exposure this included giving both our Elders/Clients and each of our Employee Caregivers food and supplies.

We are thankful for partnering with the Navajo & Hopi Families Relief Fund. I’d like to thank Ethel Branch, along with many volunteers. The fund aided us in our efforts by donating the first 25 baskets given out today!

We did it! Today... with the help of our devoted caregivers/administration/family volunteers mostly all gift boxes 🎁 were delivered ...thank you for coming together like we do!  #teaminfinity we ❤️you
